After some big off-season changes, Christian has been steadily working his way to the front. "I'm getting real comfortable with everything. I feel confident i can get some wins this year. After rain cancelled the Ponderosa Speedway's events on Friday. Christian headed to Florence Speedway Saturday. The visit paid off. Christian battled his way through traffic and ended up finishing 11th. Florence is a tough track to run. "You really have to be up on the wheel. It's a racer's track. The drivers come to the front there" That is exactly what Mr. Rayburn did. After making it through his consolation race, he worked his way up to 11th where he finished respectively. But the best of his weekend had yet to come. Christian and Team Rayburn then headed to Union County Speedway on Sunday night. After battling Duane Chamberlain in his heat race, Christian started 6th in the feature. He raced hard back and forth for second with Shawn Negangard, passing him with five laps to go. " I finally got by with five to go and started reeling in Chamberlain." Chamberlain was within a couple of car lengths when the checkered flag dropped. "I just want to give a big shout out to my sponsors who make my racing possible." said Christian. This weekend Team Rayburn will travel back to Union County for their regular show on Friday night. " I'm pretty stoked to have a nice setup for when it slicks off" says Rayburn. Saturday's plans are tentative and have yet to be scheduled at this time.
